Denice Torres will visit Rider Sept. 10
Denice Torres, co-chair of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies, North America and President of McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a division of Johnson & Johnson, will speak at Rider University on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. in North Hall. Her presentation, which is open to the public, will focus on “Strategies for Success.”

"I know that her words of wisdom will appeal to a wide audience – from students, to alumni and the general public, and we welcome everyone to attend.”
Torres began her career practicing law in Michigan. After a few years, she joined an advertising agency where she fell in love with marketing and business. She joined Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company in Indianapolis, Indiana where she spent 15 years in roles of increasing responsibility, including head of U.S. Women’s Health, Global Marketing for Mental Health and Market Research. She also held roles in sales, business development, and disease management.
In 2004, Torres joined Johnson & Johnson as the vice president of marketing for Ortho McNeil Neurologics. She then moved to the medical device segment where she was the vice president of U.S. sales and marketing for biosurgery. Following that assignment, she served as the president of CNS (Central Nervous System division) for Janssen Pharmaceuticals.
For her exceptional leadership, the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association named Torres its Woman of the Year in 2015. She was also named Johnson & Johnson’s Working Mother of the Year in 2013. Torres has been featured in Latina Style Top 50 Companies and WomenWorking. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business; Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Maurer School of Law; and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University.
The evening with Denice Torres is sponsored by Rider University’s Graduate Business Association, Office of Alumni Relations and the Rider Women’s Leadership Council. The fee to attend is $10 per person. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for light refreshments and networking. Open to the public.
