The Center for International Education hosts its semi-annual Study Abroad Fair, giving students the chance to learn about studying, interning or volunteering abroad.
Next year Rider Broncs will have the chance to go to Greece, Thailand, Croatia, Colombia, Ireland, Italy, Peru and many more!
At the fair, there will also be music, fun and food!
This is how you can get the most out of your time at the fair:
Don’t think too hard about if studying abroad is the right option for youIt is! At any given time, one out of every 10 Rider students is studying somewhere in the world outside of the U.S., and those experiences are often the most powerful they have as an undergraduate. To succeed in a changing world, you must first understand it through the eyes of others.
Take advantage of learning from alumni experience
Interest in Rider’s study abroad program has been growing, and the increased participation has created more alumni with international experience. Some of those alumni will be at the fair to give advice and share their own stories of studying abroad while at Rider. Let them know you want to hear from them — that’s what they’re there for.
Consider traveling to a non-English speaking country
Students can now travel to more than 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the South Pacific, and Central and South America. While English-speaking countries remain the most popular destination for students studying abroad, places like China and Thailand are growing in popularity and can help set you apart among your peers. Be bold and adventurous as you think about your destination.
