Dr. Stefan Dombrowski's book is geared toward graduate students and professionals
A new book by Dr. Stefan Dombrowski, a professor and director of graduate program in school psychology, explains how the practice of psycho-educational assessment and report writing is one the most important tasks undertaken by school psychologists. Published this year by Springer Science+Business Media, Psychoeducational Assessment and Report Writing serves as a how-to guide in the psycho-educational assessment of children by taking a step-by-step look at the process, from data collection to report writing and interpretation.
"The book seeks to accomplish the following objective: offer a comprehensive, practical resource that may be useful to instructors and graduate students in school and clinical child psychology on the process of conducting comprehensive psycho educational assessments, writing reports, and furnishing feedback to parents," Dombrowski writes
Dombrowski is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist who has maintained a psycho-educational and clinical evaluation practice for more than 15 years. This latest book is used as the main text in the graduate course he teaches on school psychology.
An author of four books and more than 50 articles/book chapters, he was also the 2011 recipient of the highly-coveted Dominick Iorio Distinguished Research Award and has advanced training in the clinical and psycho-educational assessment of children and adolescents. He holds a doctorate in school psychology from the University of Georgia and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology from the University of California, Davis Medical Center.
