Rider will host several events that will result in traffic pattern changes
Rider University will celebrate Reunions 2016 on the Lawrenceville campus on Saturday, June 11. Rider will also house athletes participating in the New Jersey Special Olympics at The College of New Jersey and host the Olympic Development Program Region I Soccer Team Tournament this weekend.
Due to anticipated high volume of traffic on Saturday, Rider has made the following changes to the campus traffic pattern:
The main gates will be closed from 6 a.m. until noon on Saturday. All traffic must enter campus using the south gate. The Lawrence Township Police Department will be on hand to assist guests entering and exiting campus at the south and north gates.
Rider’s annual 5K Walk/Run for Women’s Athletics will also be held as part of the Reunions schedule. To accommodate the participants, a one-way, clockwise traffic pattern around the lake will be established from 6 a.m. to noon utilizing the north gate for traffic exiting Route 206 (Lawrenceville Road) North and South.
Following the 5K Walk/Run, regular traffic patterns will resume at approximately noon.
Reminder:
Parking is prohibited on all campus roadways except as otherwise designated. Due to the anticipated heavy volume of traffic on Saturday, vehicles parked in unauthorized areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.
