In honor of President Gregory G. Dell’Omo’s inauguration, Rider University’s Career Services is hosting an alumni discussion panel, Career Success Around the World, on Monday, April 4, at 4 p.m. in North Hall 202 followed by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. in North Lobby.
The panel consists of six young graduates from the past 15 years who are currently working and studying in diverse professional domains including the arts, business, communications, education and science. Students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to hear first-hand accounts on how Rider prepared, shaped and propelled these alumni into successful careers.
Kim Barberich, executive director of Career Services, will moderate the discussion as the guest panelists share how their time on campus as engaged and active students translated to professional skill building, knowledge and career success. They will also discuss how internships, research work, studying abroad, involvement in SGA and student clubs and organizations, and work with faculty mentors shaped their professional development.
"It's beneficial for students to hear how alumni achieved their career goals," says Barberich. "Students can learn how and what theses graduates did as undergraduates and in turn, what current students can do to foster their own professional development.”
A reception on the second-floor lobby of North Hall will follow the event. At this event, students are invited to network with alumni.
Please also share any photos from the event using the hashtag #WelcomeGreg in honor of inauguration week.
All Rider students are welcomed to attend but must register at http://www.rider.edu/events/career-success-around-world.
