This summer, Rider launched a new, enhanced academic catalog on its website. The easy-to-use catalog contains everything students need to know about completing a course of study at Rider. Information is organized by program for each college or school, including separate listings for graduate programs and Westminster Choir College. The catalog can be easily accessed on any computer or mobile device at catalog.rider.edu.
With course selection opening for J-term and Spring 2016 semesters on Oct. 19, the online catalog contains several useful features to help students determine a schedule of study. The catalog makes complete program information available by major, minor and certificate, including an overview, required courses, a sample four-year plan and a list of courses offered in the program.
“The new online academic catalog is a huge step forward for Rider,” says Sandra Ober, Academic Affairs Assistant in the Office of the Provost. “It allows a student to access one site for all of the academic information they need in order to complete their course of study. Having the capability of using the site on your tablet or phone allows you access from any location in the world.”
Other useful features include pop-up course descriptions for every class, custom search powered by Google and the ability to print individual pages as PDFs. The online catalog also includes an archive of academic catalogs that go back to 2003.
