Main entrance gate closed after 2 p.m.
On Thursday, May 19, Governor Chris Christie and Presidential Candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign event at the National Guard Armory located on Eggerts Crossing Road, approximately one mile from Rider’s Lawrenceville campus. The event is expected to draw a large attendance and doors are expected to open at 5 p.m. The University anticipates a large volume of traffic in the immediate area of the Lawrenceville campus beginning several hours earlier.
In order to ensure the safety of our campus community, traffic will be limited on and off campus that afternoon to students, faculty and staff as well as guests attending pre-scheduled events. Please note that the main entrance gate will be closed after 2 p.m. today. The main exit gate will remain open to exiting traffic. All incoming traffic from 2 p.m. on will be directed through the south gate which will also be open for exiting traffic.
Students, faculty and staff entering campus after 2 p.m. should expect to stop at the south gate kiosk to show their Rider ID upon their arrival. Additional Public Safety coverage will be present and Lawrence Township Police will also be on hand.
Please be sure to allow extra time when coming to campus.
