by Rachel Stengel '14
Rider University claimed a spot in the Best Online Bachelor’s in Psychology Programs at Private Colleges list from BestDegreePrograms.org. Ranked No. 30, Rider's program was praised for its flexibility, quality coursework and notable faculty.
"We are incredibly proud to see Rider's online bachelor's in psychology program ranked on a national level," said Boris Vilic, dean of the College of Continuing Studies. "This program was developed to help working individuals complete their bachelor's degree on their own schedules without compromising the quality of their education."
Rider's online Bachelor of Arts in psychology is identical to the on-campus program. The curriculum is designed to allow students to explore their specific interests in psychology in addition to providing a strong foundation in theory and scientific methodology. The online program is also taught by the same faculty members, who are recognized experts in their fields, as the on-campus option.
To establish the ranking, BestDegreePrograms.org reviewed 110 accredited institutions listed by the National Center for Education Statistics that offered online bachelor’s degrees in psychology. National and regional program rankings received from major publications like Forbes magazine, The Princeton Review, and U.S. News and World Report were also factored in to determine the final list.
