Scholarships available for mature second-career women
The Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation and Rider University have established a fund to provide scholarships for mature second-career women. Applications are now being accepted for consideration of scholarship funding for the spring 2018 semester.
Recipients of Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarships may be full-time or part-time (taking at least 3 credits). They should be matriculated in a baccalaureate program and have completed at least half of the credits required for their degree (60 credits minimum). Newcombe Scholarships are intended to meet the needs of women for whom traditional forms of financial aid are inadequate or not available.
The application packet is available online at https://www.rider.edu/academics/colleges-schools/college-continuing-studies/student-resources/scholarships-financial-aid/charlotte-newcombe-scholarships
Copies will also be available in the Offices of Financial Aid and the College of Continuing Studies. The offices are located in the Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville Campus. Completed applications must be returned to either office no later than Monday, Dec. 4, 2017.
Please note that if you were a Fall 2017 recipient, you will only need to send an email indicating your name, Bronc ID, the number of credits you will take during the spring semester and why you would like the scholarship consideration to be continued. If you did not receive the scholarship during the Fall 2017 semester, you will need to complete a full application.
If you have any questions regarding the Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship process, please call Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid Candee Schaefer at 609-896-5360 or email: [email protected].
