Nov. 22, 2019
Dear Rider Community,
We are pleased to announce that the Middle States Commission on Higher Education recently approved the University’s substantive change request to transition the Westminster Choir College programs to the Lawrenceville campus effective with the 2020-21 academic year.
This approval, required when member institutions undergo substantive changes, demonstrates the Commission’s confidence in our transition planning and work.
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is a voluntary, non-governmental, membership association recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions.
I wish to again thank all of the individuals who continue to participate in the meaningful work of planning and preparing for a successful integration of Rider's two campuses. The Commission’s approval is an affirmation of the quality of that critically important work.
Sincerely,
DonnaJean Fredeen, Ph.D
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
