With the spring semester officially started and classes underway, students are settling into their academic routine. There is also much to look forward to outside the classroom at Rider.
These are some of the top events for students happening on campus in the spring semester:
Bronc Fest: Winter Weekend
Jan. 26-28
The first weekend after the start of the spring semester will get your school spirit flowing. Celebrate your Rider pride by getting out to these athletic events, pub parties and more!
Rider’s Drag Race
Jan. 27, 8 p.m.
The Theater in the BLC
See your fellow Broncs compete after their drag makeover at Rider’s Second Annual Drag Race, sponsored by the Student Entertainment Council. Rider’s Drag Race is a charity-based event with all proceeds benefitting Rider’s Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. The top performers are determined by donations raised during the show.
Comedy Show with Chris Distefano
Feb. 2, 8 p.m.
The Theater in the BLC
Comedian Chris Distefano takes the stage for a night of comedy. DiStefano stars in MTV’s Guy Code and Girl Code. He has toured the nation and held numerous notable roles as a comedian and host.
Rider Rhymes
Feb. 9, 8 p.m.

Rider Musical Theatre: The Theory of Relativity
Feb. 21-25
Yvonne Theater
This unconventional musical takes a joyous and moving look at our surprisingly interconnected lives. Through a seemingly unrelated collection of songs, scenes and monologues, viewers can watch the amazing talent of Rider's musical theatre program as they portray the joys and heartbreaks, the liaisons and losses, and the inevitability and the wonder of human connection.
The Rider View
Feb. 23, 9 p.m.
Cavalla Room, Bart Luedeke Center
Joy Behar, the co-host of The View, as well as a comedian and writer, will visit Rider for the University's version of the popular daytime talk show. The Rider View will feature hot topics and live performances. Plus, one lucky student will also have the chance to win a free vacation!
Relay for Life
March 24, 6 p.m.
Student Recreational Center
This event serves as a powerful way to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer. Honor the cancer survivors in your life, discover how you can reduce your cancer risk and raise money to help find a cure by banding together with thousands of Rider students and volunteers.
107.7 The Bronc’s Eggsellent Egg Hunt
March 28
Campus Mall
Be a part of the action at 107.7 The Bronc’s Eggsellent Egg Hunt. With thousands of eggs scattered over the Campus Mall students have the chance to collect candy and many different prizes. Last year’s hunt, included an egg holding a Royal Caribbean cruise for two!
Rider Rock Fest
April 13, 8-10:30 p.m.
Campus Green
The BroncFire, food vendors, games and live music return for another year of this new annual tradition. A pre-party begins at 5 p.m. in the Pub.
Senior Week
May 8-11
Seniors, make your final week as an undergraduate memorable. You'll never have another chance! In the week leading up to Commencement, you can barbecue with Rider's president (at his house!), attend an elegant ball and listen to one final lecture, full of wisdom and advice as you prepare to depart the University.
