Rider will begin its weekly mandatory random COVID-19 surveillance testing
Dear students, faculty and staff,
As we have previously announced, Rider will begin its weekly mandatory random COVID-19 surveillance testing program next week. Next week’s randomly chosen participants have already received their email notification. Students, faculty and staff who frequent campus at least once per week are required to participate in the testing program this semester.
Approximately 200 individuals will be randomly chosen to participate each week. Selected students will receive an email from [email protected] and selected employees will receive an email from Linda Kerner ([email protected]) in Human Resources the Wednesday prior with detailed test information and instructions, including the opportunity to share any questions or concerns you may have. We strongly encourage you to check your email for this information.
Testing will be conducted as follows beginning next week and throughout the spring semester in the SRC seminar room. No appointments are necessary. Choose the day and time that works best for you and plan for 15 to 30 minutes to complete the test.
-
Mondays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last entry at 2:30)
-
Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last entry at 2:30)
Rider uses saliva-based PCR tests that are administered by trained medical staff. Results will be received within 72 hours via the testing company’s secure portal.
Please Note: Students, faculty and staff who are awaiting surveillance test results and who do not present COVID-19 symptoms can attend in-person classes and on-campus activities.
We appreciate your cooperation with the surveillance testing program, as it is intended to help keep our community safe and healthy at a time when COVID-19 cases continue to remain high in New Jersey and beyond.
You can learn more about our COVID-19 protocols on our Resolved and Ready website.
Sincerely,
The COVID-19 Implementation Team
