Rider University will open at 10 a.m. today, January 16.
However, we understand that commuting to campus may pose challenges for some. Therefore, remote work is an option for those able to do so, and with permission from your supervisor. Supervisors should allow remote work where feasible.
Faculty should notify students if they intend to have class meetings today. Students should check their email to determine if their class for the day is canceled.

Due to the impending winter weather, Rider University will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, until 10 a.m.
Prior to 10 a.m., only essential employees should report to campus as directed by their supervisors.
Due to the changing forecast, we will assess the impact of the weather early in the morning to determine operational plans for the remainder of the day. Announcements will be made via Rider Alert and on rider.edu.
We ask all faculty to please notify students if they intend to have class meetings on Tuesday. Students should check their email to determine if their class for the day is canceled.
Operating hours for the following venues on Jan. 16 include:
- Daly Dining Hall: Regular J-Term hours
- Starbucks: Regular hours, opens at 8:30 a.m.
- Student Recreation Center: Regular hours, opens at 7 a.m.
