Rider illustrates the power of giving

Rider University has raised more than $30 million since the pandemic began, but that number by itself doesn’t demonstrate the full impact of what donor gifts have done for Rider and its students. So beginning Friday, Nov. 5, and continuing throughout Homecoming Weekend, Rider will show just how much donor support contributes to the Rider experience.

The effort will culminate Nov. 9 with "We're Better Together," Rider’s first Day of Giving, a 24-hour fundraising event to encourage additional support for the University and its students. From student scholarships to support of programs, athletics and campus improvements, Rider donors have touched nearly every aspect of student life.

Look for cranberry ribbons, signs on buildings and campus fixtures, and students wearing T-shirts identifying them as scholarship recipients. All are designed to raise awareness about the power and benefits of philanthropic gifts to Rider.

Dell’Omo, Ph.D. “We're grateful to the many individuals who've made contributions to Rider and strive to encourage a culture of philanthropy among our alumni, students, faculty and staff.  Rider is best when we all come together to encourage and support the mission of education.”
