University highlighted for academics and dedication to student success
by Rachel Stengel '14, '20
Rider University was recognized as one of the best colleges for undergraduates by The Princeton Review. The University was profiled in the 2025 edition of the company's college guide, The Best 390 Colleges. Additionally, Rider was ranked No. 9 on the Best College Radio Station list and honored as a Best Northeast College.
The colleges profiled represent about only 15% of America's 2,600 four-year institutions. They are chosen primarily based upon The Princeton Review’s high opinion of their academics, determined by survey data from college administrators. The Princeton Review also examines data from surveys of current students about their experiences at their institutions.
“The fact that The Princeton Review has recognized Rider for more than 20 years speaks volumes about the University’s academic quality,” says Dr. DonnaJean Fredeen, provost and senior vice president of Academic and Student Affairs. “We are proud to offer a high-quality education with a strong emphasis on preparing students for career success.”
Students highlighted the importance of Rider’s Engaged Learning Program, the Cranberry Investment and unique learning opportunities that go beyond textbooks and lectures. All Rider undergraduates are required to complete real-world learning opportunities through the Engaged Learning Program, while the Cranberry Investment guarantees that qualified students will obtain an entry-level job related to their field of study or be accepted into graduate or professional school within six months of graduation.
“We salute Rider University for its outstanding academics, and many other impressive offerings,” says Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief and lead author of The Best 390 Colleges. “We recommend it as an ideal choice for students searching for their ‘best-fit’ college.”
