Rider University’s Norm Brodsky College of Business will induct four distinguished alumni into its Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony on May 2 at The Marigold in Somerset, New Jersey.
The honorees are Daniel J. Geltrude ’87, Laura E. Glotzbach ’97, John M. Guarino ’82 and Tim Tracy ’90.
“We’re very proud to recognize a new cohort of individuals whose records of professional accomplishments and selfless generosity exemplify a lifelong commitment to excellence,” says Dr. Eugene Kutcher, dean of the Norm Brodsky College of Business.
Daniel J. Geltrude ’87 has earned a reputation as a highly respected member of the accounting profession. Since 2009, he has served on the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy after being appointed by the governor, and his business analysis has been aired on Fox News, CBS and NBC, among other networks. In 1995, he founded Geltrude & Company LLC, an accounting and financial advisory firm that provides boutique services to a select client base. Geltrude received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rider, where he has served as a contributing member of the Accounting Advisory Council, as well master’s degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Penn State University.
Laura E. Glotzbach ’97 spent more than 10 years working with top New York agencies before founding her own marketing analytics firm, LGS Marketing Services. She received certificates from Cornell University and The Wharton School after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Rider. She is a frequent guest speaker and panelist across the University, where she has also served as the co-chair of the Business Analytics Advisory Council and the Business Executive in Residence, as well as a mentor and member of the Board and executive committee of the Gail Bierenbaum Leadership Council.
John M. Guarino ’82 retired as president of Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada in 2016. Over 18 years with the company, he amassed a broad record of international experience across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His positions at Coca-Cola followed more than 15 years of experience with Philip Morris International. Before adding a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University, Guarino received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a major in industrial relations from Rider, where he has remained engaged as an alumnus. He has served as the chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, as an adjunct professor in Rider’s Norm Brodsky College of Business, and as an executive in residence in the international seminar and study tour of the executive master of business administration program.
Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in accounting, Timothy Tracy ’90 embarked on a career with EY, ascending to partner in just 12 years. Today, he leads the company’s Americas Private Equity Practice, where he oversees 7,500 professionals. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tracy’s commitment to Rider spans more than three decades. He has served as the co-chair of the University’s Accounting Advisory Council while also participating in recruiting activities and speaking engagements. Tracy has also served as a member of the American Cancer Society, the co-chair of the New Jersey Special Olympics and a founding member of Ownership Works, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the wealth gap through employee ownership.
Inductees were selected on the basis of their contributions toward shaping their profession and community and hail from top companies locally, nationally and globally. In addition to receiving awards at the ceremony, honorees will also be recognized through a permanent display in Anne Brossman Sweigart Hall on Rider’s campus.
Sponsorships for the induction ceremony are still available, with proceeds for both table sponsors as well as individual ticket purchases supporting the accounting program, scholarships and the Norm Brodsky College of Business Engaged Learning Fund.
