The Big Idea
Ari's idea for The Sports Fan Base Network grew from a project Ari developed as a senior through his Student Venture Experience class, which requires entrepreneurial majors to start their own business venture.
Award Winner
Ari's team from Rider finished in the top ten at the National Small Business Institute competition.
"I already knew about Rider’s highly regarded business program, but the Entrepreneurial Studies program was just starting. It was so unique and that’s what attracted me. When I came to campus for my tour, that cinched it; I just fell in love with the entire place."
My Entrepreneurial Studies classes gave me the drive and ability to launch my online network.

Rider's impact on Ari's career
Ari credits Rider with providing him the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience he needed to be competitive in business. Not only did he earn two undergraduate business degrees and an M.B.A. at Rider, but Ari also gained valuable experience in radio working as sports director and talk show host for WRRC, the campus radio station.
Rider gave Ari the education and credentials to work in the accounting field, plus the real-world experience, confidence and knowledge to pursue his dream. "My Entrepreneurial Studies classes gave me the drive and ability to launch my online network and do what I'm really passionate about. The program gave me all the tools I needed."
Continued success
In 2012, the Sports Fan Base Network (SFBN) signed a contract with the Philadelphia Public School District and the city's Office of Catholic Education to provide exclusive online coverage of Philadelphia Public League and Philadelphia Catholic League high school sports games. Ari, an avid sports fan who also works as play-by-play commentator for Drexel University women’s basketball radio broadcasts and a color analyst for men’s basketball broadcasts, takes his experienced, professional SFBN crew to select games throughout the city to provide live streaming telecasts of high school sports.
