"Rider’s hybrid model, which combines online courses with Saturday classes on campus, really fit what I was looking for.” As a working mother, the program enabled her to earn her degree in just 36 months, with two years of course work and then a year-long dissertation.

Rider's impact on Kari's career
Her courses in the Ed.D. program led Kari to think about how she could build opportunities for teachers in her district. "We had a great course about how to incorporate creativity and innovation into the mission of the school district.” As an outcome of this learning, Kari created a new STEM program alongside other teachers in her school district. In this program, preschool students build with Legos to develop early coding skills.
