Kimberly was looking for a program that would provide flexibility, support, and learning opportunities so that she could excel. At first, she felt hesitant to go back to school, especially in an online learning environment. However, her worries were calmed when she attended an open house. “Rider was so friendly and supportive. When I attended an open house, I made up my mind on the spot.”
Rider helped me achieve my dream of becoming a certified school nurse in my 50s."

Rider's impact on Kimberly's career
Prior to taking Rider’s RN-BSN Online Program, Kimberly was unsure about learning online. However, within Rider’s RN-BSN program, she “built the self-confidence it took to learn online.” Kimberly attributes her success throughout the program to staff support. “I had so much support from staff, especially Sean Levin.” Sean Levin serves as the director of continuing studies admission at Rider University. When asked about her experience at Rider, she said “I would, and I do, recommend Rider University to friends and acquaintances. It was a positive experience in my personal and professional life.”
Continued success
Currently, Kimberly is a certified school nurse in Bridgewater Raritan School District. She works in a primary school setting with children who are between the ages of pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. “It is a small school which gives me the opportunity to become involved with parents and expand my role as a health educator.” Kimberly also writes a monthly health newsletter for parents. Kimberly also visits the classrooms to lead lessons on health screenings, hand washing, and other topics.
