Matt had three full-time job offers the fall semester of his senior year, ultimately accepting a position with Johnson & Johnson.
1+2 = Success
Matt secured a highly competitive co-op position with Johnson & Johnson during his junior year at Rider. He also completed internships with two leading corporations: Lehman Brothers and Sunoco.
Giving Back
Matt was a Big Brother mentor to a pre-teen boy while attending Rider. They met weekly after school, going over homework and spending quality time together. Matt also was a peer mentor to incoming freshmen at Rider.
Matt chose Rider for the reputation of its business program in the Philadelphia and New York markets, as well as its proximity to those strong business centers. "The small class sizes, genuinely caring professors and the scholarship support I received sealed the deal for me."
I graduated as a confident young adult, able to step out of my comfort zone and take calculated risks.

Rider's impact on Matt's success
"I have the job I have today thanks to Rider and specifically, Dr. Anne Carroll," Matt said. Dr. Carroll encouraged him to apply for a co-op with Johnson & Johnson, which ultimately led to full-time employment through J&J’s Financial Leadership Development Program.
Continued success
Since graduating, Matt has continued to expand his skills, accept new challenges and continue to give back. For example, he now recruits for J&J on Rider's campus, and attends alumni events with DAARSTOC (Developing Administrative Abilities and Resources Through the Synergistic Training & Organizational Competencies).
"The knowledge and techniques I learned through Rider's DAARSTOC executive skills-building organization helped me nail the interviews; the solid foundation of my overall education at Rider allowed me to excel early in my career," Matt observed.
