Why an EMBA?
One of the reasons Steven decided to come back to Rider for his EMBA is because he knew the value of the executive coaching aspect of the EMBA
Why Steven chose Rider
Steven committed to enroll at Rider for two reasons. The first was because of Rider’s business school long-standing reputation for excellence. He had his heart set on working for a specific pharmaceutical company and he was able to meet representatives from that company at a career fair. From that point on, he knew he wanted to go to Rider. His second reason for choosing Rider was because of the University’s executive skill-building organization, DAARSTOC (Developing Administrative Abilities and Resources Through the Synergistic Training & Organizational Competencies), where students learn and practice strategies to maximize their personal and professional effectiveness. He also selected Rider’s EMBA program because of the affordable pricing, ability to complete the program in an accelerated time frame and our expert faculty.
I looked at many schools [for my EMBA], but chose Rider due to the program efficiency, schedule, executive coaching, renowned faculty and cost.”

Rider's impact on Steven's success
During his undergraduate studies at Rider, Steven learned to understand business fundamentals, leadership, interview skills, management and networking.
Looking ahead
Steven aspires to make a functional change in his career by pursuing opportunities in global supply chain management or marketing. Having a prior background in sales, he felt that it would be challenging for him to advance without having the right skills. The valuable education he gained as a result of earning his EMBA from Rider, including participation in its unique executive coaching program, allowed him to bring fresh insights to his current role and gave him the credentials needed to accelerate his career. “In the EMBA program, I learned concepts on Saturday that I could apply to my job on Monday,” Steven said. “Now, I can participate in conversations with company presidents and senior leadership.”
Tips for students and soon-to-be graduates
“Take every opportunity to intern or work with a company or industry during the summer to try different career paths. Connect with professors whose classes you enjoy, often they can help get you connected and offer success and lastly, reach out to Rider alumni for support.”
