In light of the rapidly evolving worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Rider University is reviewing the status of all upcoming events. The health and safety of our campus community is the University's highest priority.
Events that have been canceled will be continually added to this post as new information becomes available.
Canceled events
The following list is current as of March 18 at 12:30 p.m.
-
Admissions events scheduled in the coming weeks are being evaluated on a case by case basis, and with an abundance of caution. Alternate arrangements will be made where appropriate. Rider is compiling a list of Admissions-related event cancelations, format changes, and rescheduling notices.
-
All University events are canceled for the rest of the semester.
- The Commencement ceremonies for both Rider and Westminster Choir College are being postponed. Westminster Reunions scheduled for May are also postponed. These are tough, heartbreaking decisions. We assure you that they are being made with the health and safety of our campus community as our top priority. We are considering alternative plans and will announce them when we have a better idea of the status of the outbreak in the months ahead.
Rider Athletics
-
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and its Council of Presidents announced on March 12 that they have unanimously decided to cancel the remainder of its current conference tournament currently being held in Atlantic City.
-
The MAAC also announced that all spring sports competitions, practices (including captain's practices) and other athletic-related activities for the remainder of the spring semester have been canceled.
Virtual student events
