Dear faculty and staff,
We are aware of Gov. Murphy’s press conference this afternoon and appreciate your patience as we consider the impact of his announcement on our operations in the weeks ahead.
The governor of New Jersey offered guidance to institutions of higher education to limit the spread of the virus, including limiting large group gatherings, social distancing, and remote and alternative instruction. For Rider University, this means that we will continue our plan to offer remote and alternative instruction following the extended spring break period until at least April 10.
Gov. Murphy's directives become effective Wednesday, March 18, and continue until further notice. We will provide additional information tomorrow, March 17. In the meantime, we will operate as usual tomorrow.
Our continued thanks to all those individuals who are working so hard to protect the health and safety of our campus community while also allowing for academic continuity so that students can complete their academic work for the spring semester.
