Will America’s favorite mentalist know what you’re thinking?
by Kristine A. Brown
Rider University will present An Evening with The Amazing Kreskin on Saturday, June 7, at 8:30 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville Campus. The event is open to the public.
The Amazing Kreskin, born in Montclair, N.J., as George Joseph Kresge, became a popular television icon in the 1970s. His series The Amazing World of Kreskin was broadcast both in the United States and Canada.
He has been a regular guest on late night television including The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He is known as a mentalist and for annually giving his predictions for the coming year on New Year’s Day.
Although Kreskin makes predictions, he does not claim to have paranormal or clairvoyant powers, and does not like to be considered a psychic.
He has received international recognition for extraordinary predictions often dealing with world affairs. Regarding the U.S. presidential election in 2012, Kreskin logged the results in a written statement almost a year and a half earlier secured at NBC at The Jimmy Fallon Show with another copy locked on display in a New York City restaurant, as well as placed in the hands of two other sources. The copy of the prediction was opened the day after the election and proved to be accurate.
Three days before the Super Bowl in 2013, Kreskin predicted on FOX television the winning team, the Baltimore Ravens, as well as the winning score, 34.
