With the holiday season kicking off in just a few weeks, the excitement that students feel of seeing loved ones and devouring home-cooked meals is already beginning to heighten around campus. Despite the bump in positive moods post-midterms, classes and homework are still in full swing. In the midst of studying, take time to celebrate traditions and attend special events that are guaranteed to bring a sense of community cheer.
Family Weekend
Nov. 2-4
What better way to share one’s home away from home to family than to invite them to a fun-filled weekend of activities on both the Lawrenceville and Princeton campuses? Not only will there be exhilarating sports games and uplifting Westminster Choir rehearsals and performances to attend, but families can take part in the action by participating in Rider’s edition of Family Feud, Bronc Bingo and Zumba. Get spooked one last time for a good cause with Delta Phi Epsilon’s Haunted House. In addition, families will be able to honor veterans by planting a flag on the Campus Mall, as well as see special exhibits on display in the Moore Library. Don’t miss out on making fun memories with loved ones by enjoying a special annual event at Rider.

Grab a cup of hot chocolate, huddle close together with friends and experience the magic of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, EID, Three Kings Day and many others. There will be singing, dancing and winter crafts before ending this heartwarming holiday extravaganza with the crowning of the Cranberry Court champions.

Now come back to reality and assume that Nonna is three student chefs, competing in a 107.7 The Bronc cooking competition. Emulating a Food Network reality cooking show, the competition features three student finalists preparing meals based on their submitted recipes. Come out and indulge in the traditional, familiar foods of Italy right in Lawrenceville with a little flavor added from home. Student-tasters get a say in who they want to win the grand prize by texting in their vote. Mamma mia, the pastabilities are endless in this finale showdown.
