by Kristine A. Brown
The Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University will present “Why America’s Economy Isn’t as Messed Up as You Think” with Daniel Gross, New York Times best-selling author and the global business editor at The Daily Beast, on Tuesday, March 11. The event is free and open to the public.
“Dan Gross is one of the world’s leading business journalists because he sees things others don’t and can explain it in a way that everyone can understand,” says Ben Dworkin, director of the Rebovich Institute. “His research has the ability to shape opinions and markets, and that’s why people listen to him.”
Gross is one of the most widely read financial and economic writers and has reported on some of the biggest crises that have shaped our world’s economy. He has spent time as a reporter for The New Republic, Bloomberg News, The New York Times, Newsweek, and Slate. Gross published his most recent book, New York Times best-selling book, Better, Stronger, Faster: The Myth of American Decline and the Rise of a New Economy, in 2012.
Gross is also a regular on CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, National Public Radio and The Colbert Report, where he discusses political and economic events.
A light reception begins at 6 p.m with remarks begin at 7 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer period with the audience. The event will take place in the Mercer Room in Daly Dining Hall on Rider’s Lawrenceville campus.
