The annual tradition includes an array of events that highlights Rider’s many offerings
Scores of Rider University students and their families took part in an array of activities from Nov. 6 through 8 as part of Family Weekend.
The annual event encourages students and families to visit Rider’s Lawrenceville and Princeton campuses and take part in favorite annual traditions, such as the Rider and Westminster Legacy Family Breakfast, which celebrates the dual connection of alumni who are the parents or grandparents of Rider or Westminster students.
The weekend also featured athletics, such as an exhibition game between the men’s basketball team and the University of the Sciences, and the arts, such as the School of Fine & Performing Arts Showcase, and many other events.
This year, many participants helped place about 12,000 flags on the Campus Mall, which will be a Veterans Day centerpiece as the University honors those who served our country.
Other highlights included a presentation by Rider’s new executive director for Career Services, Kim Barberich, on how Career Services helps students explore their academic and professional interests, experience hands-on experiential education and other actions that help lead to a fulfilling career.
The Student Entertainment Council also presented an awe-inspiring performance from the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, the amazing acrobatic group best known as semi-finalists on America’s Got Talent.
