On March 28, students will be lined up on the Campus Mall overlooking an egg patch of 10,000 eggs filled with over 1,300 prizes, 25,000 pieces of candy and, hidden in the patch, a grand-prize egg containing a $1,000 Visa gift card.
“The Eggscellent Egg Hunt is one of Rider's biggest spring events and campus traditions, says John Mozes, general manager of 107.7 The Bronc. “There'll be many games, activities, a petting zoo, food, and of course, the main attraction itself, the Eggscellent Egg Hunt. Students seem to be bursting at the seams with excitement.”
Prior to the egg hunt, students can enjoy games such as mini golf, color explosion, egg-cracking cornhole and many others. Students can get their pets in at The Bronc Petting Zoo with sheep, chickens, chicks, pigs and bunnies. The event kicks off at 11 a.m., with the egg hunt starting at approximately 12:45 p.m.
After working up an appetite, students can visit The Bronc’s Food Truck Row featuring free eats from Applebee’s Bar and Grill of Lawrenceville, DeLorenzo’s Pizza On the Go, Pepsi and Lipton Brisk, Porta Via Catering Company, Rider Dining Services by Aramark and more.
For seniors who are interested in entering 107.7 The Bronc’s Cruisin’ From Commencement 3 contest, there will be a 2018 Toyota Camry LE and a few other Toyota vehicles at the egg hunt for students to check out.
Located on Rider's Lawrenceville campus, 107.7 The Bronc is exclusively run by students. The radio station gives students hands-on experience participating in and executing large-scale events on and off campus.
Partnered with APO and the Miller–Keystone Blood Center, 107.7 The Bronc will host an Eggscellent Egg Hunt Blood Drive on April 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Shapiro Boardroom in the Student Recreation Center. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to join and donate blood. The first 75 students to pre-register will receive a pair of tickets to a 2018 Trenton Thunder game.
107.7 The Bronc’s Eggscellent Egg Hunt 3 is presented by Barnes & Noble at the Rider University Store, Brisk, Pepsi, Rider Dining Services by Aramark and SGA.
In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be rescheduled for Thursday, March 29. For more information on the event, visit www.1077thebronc.com.
