Kathy Wakile invites visitors to ‘Indulge’ during book-release event

Reality television personality Kathy Wakile, best known for her appearance on the Bravo show The Real Housewives of New Jersey, will appear at Rider University on Friday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. The event will be held in the Mercer Room inside Daly’s Dining Hall.
Wakile will be promoting Indulge, a compilation of recipes influenced by her Italian upbringing. The book was inspired by her dessert line Dolci della Dea, or Goddess Sweets, which specializes in custom desserts, cannoli kits and gluten-free items.
Wakile and her husband, Rich, will hold a question-and-answer session with attendees, as well as a meet-and-greet opportunity to have books signed. Copies of Indulge will be available at the event.
Indulge and Dolci della Dea are not Wakile’s only endeavors. In 2012, she released Red Velvet Cosmo, a bottled cocktail based on her favorite dessert, red velvet cake. The cocktail won a national tasting contest shortly after its release and was praised for its realistic flavor of the beloved confection.
This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is not required.
