Limited tickets available
The School of Education has announced a bus trip to Philadelphia to screen the premiere of the documentary Remixing Colorblind produced by Dr. Sheena Howard, a professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism.
This documentary examines how the educational system today shapes our understanding of race – including notions of bias, individual racism, institutional racism and reverse racism. The screening will take place in The Ritz at the Bourse movie theatre in Philadelphia on Thursday, Feb. 25, and includes a Q&A session with Dr. Howard at the end (moderated by Rutgers University professor Oscar Holmes IV).
This trip includes dinner and is completely free to any Rider student. There are only a limited number of tickets available.
The bus will depart from the front of the Bart Luedeke Center at 4 p.m. and will return to Rider around 9:30 p.m.
Tickets can be picked up in Memorial Hall 101 (the Curriculum Resource Center) starting Monday, Feb. 15, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are available until they run out.
If you have any questions, please contact the Curriculum Resource Center staff at [email protected] or call 609-896-5172.
