The Holocaust: Massacre of the Innocents

The Rider University Art Gallery will present an exhibit of works by Grace Graupe-Pillard entitled The Holocaust, Massacre of the Innocents,” Thursday, November 11 through Saturday, December 18. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 11 from 5 to 7 p.m., and the artist will discuss her work during an artist’s talk on Thursday, November 18 at 8 p.m.
New Jersey artist Grace Graupe-Pillard has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, including the New Jersey State Museum, the Newark Museum, the Jersey City Museum, the Montclair Museum, the National Museum of Women in Arts and the Library of Congress. This exhibit will focus on a series of paintings that she developed in response to losing 70 family members in the Holocaust. This exhibition is funded in part by a grant from the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Department of State. Additional funding has been provided by Rider University’s Julius and Dorothy Koppelman Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center, Baccalaureate Honors Program and Gender and Sexuality Studies.
Admission to this exhibit is free. The Rider University Art Gallery is located in the Bart Luedeke Center on Rider’s campus at 2083 Lawrenceville Rd in Lawrenceville.
