A letter from President Dell'Omo
Dear students and families,
2020 has been a year like no other. As we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all students and families for helping us get through the challenges of the fall semester.
It seems like only a short time ago we were vigilantly preparing to begin this semester amidst a worldwide health pandemic, and making critical decisions about how to operate our university as safely as possible. Several months have passed, and the Rider community met and exceeded each challenge during this uncertain time. Now, here we are, preparing for residential students to move home for the remainder of the semester and for all Rider Broncs to complete this semester strong, but remote.
Thank you to all of our students and families for exhibiting patience, resilience and cooperation this fall. The Rider spirit continued to shine bright as we worked together to keep our university moving forward.
The Rider spirit continued to shine bright as we worked together to keep our university moving forward.
For many of us, the traditional Thanksgiving holiday means traveling to see friends and family, enjoying large gatherings around a table filled with customary foods like turkey and stuffing, maybe watching a football game or two, and reflecting upon all for which we are thankful. This year, the circumstances we are faced with may change the way we celebrate so as to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe and healthy, but it is still a time to remember and embrace all those who enrich our lives every day of the year.
I am deeply grateful for all students and families who contribute to the richness of our university, and it is my sincere hope that this Thanksgiving, more than ever, you have an abundance of things to be thankful for.
On behalf of the entire Rider University community, we send you warm wishes for a happy, healthy and heartfelt Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Gregory G. Dell’Omo, Ph.D.
