Nonprofit organization founded by Marie after earning her MBA called Itiah Angels for Learning
As a successful business leader, Marie chose to come to Rider to further her knowledge and potential opportunities for her career path. The cohort model and small class sizes appealed to her. “I felt the experience of a smaller class would be more beneficial to me and how I learn.” The flexibility of the 14-month accelerated Rider Executive MBA (EMBA) program allowed Marie to attend classes on the weekend which made it easier for her to maintain her full-time role. “Overall, it was the best decision for me when compared to other schools and their programs.”
The Rider MBA program made me more confident to engage in any opportunities related to business, management and leadership."
As a graduate student, Marie felt that the Rider Executive MBA program made her more confident to engage in any opportunities related to business, management, and leadership. “I also learned that being authentic and focusing on transformational changes that can improve the world as we know it was the best way to conduct business.” Marie also had the opportunity to travel to Brazil through Rider’s international business seminar. She visited many corporations (such as Johnson & Johnson, Natura &Co and Itaipu Binacional) in three different Brazilian states and had the opportunity to go on tours to learn more about the life and culture of the Brazilian people, and the impact of business there. Rider’s Executive MBA program then led her to even more success after graduation.
Soon after the completion of Marie’s MBA at Rider, she was elected treasurer, then chair of the Executive Board of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, New York Chapter. This chapter includes nearly 2000 scientists. Marie also founded a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help students in Haiti excel. “I was born in Haiti and I learned firsthand the daily struggle of trying to have an education in a country where elementary school is not compulsory. My comfort level in leading these efforts is mainly due to the knowledge I gained from the Executive MBA program at Rider.”
