Program overview

Theatre-Making Concentration: This program is designed to prepare an artist of the 21st century to enter the evolving theatre landscape. This flexible concentration is the perfect supplement to a second major or minor, especially in the areas of education, english or communication. 

Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to explore various related career pathways including arts education, arts management, theatre historian, playwright or dramaturg.

Program requirements

Our program is designed to develop the whole, contemporary artist. Students will learn from professionally active faculty, and during junior year, will have the unique opportunity to plan and execute an entire season of student-produced work for their peers and classmates. They will also have the opportunity to pursue professional internships during their time at Rider, making professional contacts while gaining real-world experience.
