How Sami Wheeler found her #HomeAtRider:
“I knew that I 100% made the right decision coming to Rider during my freshman orientation. I had a BLAST, met so many friends and really felt welcomed on campus right away. My favorite Rider memory was being voted Rider’s Cranberry Queen and being chosen as the recipient for the 2021 Leadership Legacy Award, which goes to one graduating senior who has left a positive impact on Rider's campus. At Rider, the opportunities for growth are endless and I absolutely would not be the person I am today if I had not chosen to attend this school. If you want a university that is going to allow you to reach your fullest potential and get you ready for a career post graduation, then I can confidently say that Rider may be the place for you!"
Sami earned a bachelor's in secondary education and mathematics. She was a part of many organizations, including @zta_rider sorority, @rideru_sea, Math Club and four different national honor societies. Sami was also a Robert Noyce STEM Scholar, which allowed her to prepare to teach STEM in a high-need school district upon graduating. She served as a GLASS mentor, first-year seminar peer mentor, peer coach for the Student Navigation Office and was a new student @riderorientation leader for two years. She also worked as an office assistant for @ridercareers and as a math content tutor for the Academic Success Center.
