We invite you celebrate the launch of Rider’s brand-new Cannabis Studies Certificate. This 100% online program creates access for all to obtain credentials to enter the legal cannabis marketplace. The Cannabis Studies Certificate program offers students the exciting opportunity to cultivate business connections with practitioners in the cannabis space and gain practical experience through a capstone course taught by an industry professional. Enrollment begins Fall 2022.

Marshall Ogen of Cannabis BPO: Marshall Ogen is the Vice President of Business Strategy at CannabisBPO and has over 25 years of experience in customer experience (CX) and customer journey mapping. With a focus on the customer journey, Marshall has consulted with many of the world’s most recognizable brands to ensure successful customer engagement activities. His consulting and client experience ranges from telecommunications to financial service, insurance, pharmaceuticals, cannabis, and more. He has written and spoken about the cannabis sector for 5 years, and is a member of the Rolling Stone Culture Council, writing for the online magazine. He is currently a strategic advisor to the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association, a past member of the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) Marketing and Advertising Committee, and the past co-chair of the Mid-Atlantic Professional Association of Customer Experience (PACE). Marshall has a BA in Political Science from Rider University.
Cecilia Oyedrian of Foley Hoag: As an associate in Foley Hoag’s national cannabis practice group, Cecilia Oyediran advises clients on licensing, regulatory, and compliance matters in the legal cannabis industry. Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Cecilia was Corporate Counsel at a publicly traded multistate operator holding a large and diverse portfolio of cannabis cultivation, processing and dispensing operations in the tristate area and across the United States. Cecilia also serves as Chair-elect of the Cannabis Section of the New York State Bar Association and currently sits on the board of NJ NORML. A passionate advocate for cannabis education, Cecilia is a frequent speaker and panelist on a range of issues related to state cannabis licensing, social equity, and corporate law, and volunteers her time to mentor students and young professionals interested in entering the cannabis industry. Cecilia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, a Master’s in Education from Harvard University, and a law degree from Stanford Law School.
Rita Alexandrea Ruggieri of HarvestWorks: As founder and CEO of HarvestWorks, this Jersey girl has years of experience and success at launching businesses in unfamiliar industries. At her core, a forward-thinking entrepreneur, with a passion for stepping up to the plate when presented with an exciting and unfamiliar opportunity for growth, success, achieving diverse dreams and inspiring other to do the same - this will be her driving force for the cannabis business.
Although Rita grew up on a farm, her background spans from various corporate fortune 500 jobs in business finance and marketing, to venturing on-her-own in 1996 building successful businesses in these industries throughout the years. Wholesale draperies for various furniture giants, including Ethan Allen. Interior merchandising of model homes for various prestigious NJ builders. A cafe which won recognition in NJ for it’s “High Noon” tea menu and off-site catering. A photography firm which photographed various Novel Prize winner, serving the telecommunication and catalog industries. Currently, a full turn-key commercial fit-out business, which won 5 awards from the NJ Builders Association for innovative designs and building material selections, using the Earth's limited resources in a sustainable manner while minimizing environmental impact. She is excited for the opportunity to be part of the cannabis community and is looking forward to cultivating meaningful connections with those who also have a passion for the industry.
