How Samantha Butler found her #HomeAtRider: "When looking for a university to attend, I wanted to be able to do all of my favorite things. At Rider University, I was recruited for the track and field team as a jumper. They had my major: elementary education. In addition, I was able to continue my dance studies as a minor. My favorite Rider memory was the day of my graduation in May 2022. Right after the graduation ceremony, I drove several hours down to Virginia for the Eastern College Athletic Conference track meet. After a long night of traveling and a long day of preparing for my last collegiate event, triple jump, hearing the roar of the stadium, breaking my personal record and tears falling from my face for the end of my track career was such a rewarding, yet surreal feeling. I couldn't let it be over... so I decided to come back!" Sam is a graduate student working toward a master's in organizational leadership with a concentration in higher education. She is a member of the @riderxctf team, a former member of @riderdanceensemble, a former member of @riderdanceteam, an executive board member of @ridersaac, a graduate assistant for @riderstudentlife, and a community director for @rider_reslife.
