Dear Rider community,
Each fall brings a new sense of possibility to campus. Our first-year students are just beginning their journey with us. Everything feels new and exciting for them, from attending their first college course to meeting their residence hall neighbors. Our returning students are eager to catch up with their friends and embrace new opportunities — joining a new club, starting a new internship or preparing to study abroad. Our faculty and staff are looking forward to seeing how our Broncs grow throughout the academic year, building upon their previous successes both inside and outside the classroom.
This fall, we’ve instituted a new First-Year Experience program to ease the transition to college for our newest Broncs, further supporting their collegiate success. Each new student is paired with a personalized team of faculty, staff and student leaders, while programs, events and activities introduce them to the litany of ways they can make the most of their college experience.
I hope you can attend as many of our beloved Rider traditions as possible this fall. Starting just after Move-in Day, there are more than 20 Welcome Week events — including one of Rider’s longest-standing traditions, Cranberry Fest — with more throughout the semester. There will be plenty of entertainment, food trucks, live music and more to welcome the Rider community back to campus.
Remember, a new semester means there are limitless possibilities ahead. Take advantage of those opportunities that interest you and support your goals at Rider and beyond.
Sincerely,
Gregory G. Dell'Omo, Ph.D.
