As a University, we are committed to the professional development of our employees but understand that time, or lack thereof, may often come in the way of making it a priority. As many of you know, Rider has partnered with an organization called LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com) to offer a very wide range of on line training programs utilizing videos, course materials, and preset Learning Paths that serve as certificate programs. The full area of programs can be accessed at LinkedIn Learning or at the HR and OIT sections of the University website.
The available courses range from under ten minutes to multiple hours, covering a broad range of topics for all skill sets to benefit individual needs. These resources are set at your own pace, and there is no mandatory amount that an employee must complete. This is simply an optional resource to build new skills or enhance current ones. We are working to create our own certification programs in a variety of these subjects and Learning Paths to allow interested employees to build a broader skill set. More information on these Rider specific certification programs will be provided as they are developed.
